A weird segue into the major theme of this Sunday’s paper, but alas, we prevail. Here’s what I’ve added to my wardrobe thus far. I usually tend to do a “big” shop in spring, which lasts me through summer, and then again in fall, which lasts me through winter.

The Clothing

For my spring/summer uniform, it usually consists of a button-up, flip-flops, a good pair of jeans, and maybe a midi skirt if I should feel so inclined. I went thrifting a few weeks back and picked up a few Ralph Lauren button up’s, watch the haul here. I also added this JWA x Uniqlo collab button up to my wardrobe too.

It might seem silly to pick up a sweater right before spring, especially living in Los Angeles, but I wanted something I can throw on those rare chilly days or nights, especially if at the beach or in the desert. This Gap 100% cotton rollneck was the perfect choice, I picked it up in white but there’s still a few color’s left. Being able to work with Sezane is such a dream, these pants along with the Shenali shirt were recent additions.

Other essentials included two midi skirts from H&M, one in black and one lacy white one that I’ve already styled.

The Bags

I wanted a fun bag for those nights out in search of the perfect glass of Sauvignon blanc and fell instantly in love with this one from Zara.

I admit, I might have gone overboard with the bags. I was sent this gorgeous piece from Madewell (perfect spring work bag imo) and picked this one in brown from Sezane. In addition to purchasing a Cult Gaia canvas bag off of the TRR, I grabbed this fun zebra print one and finally a croc clutch from Amy Shehab.

The Shoes

There were four shoes added, all of which serve their own purpose in my wardrobe. My Calvin Klein flip-flops that I picked up two years ago are hanging by a thread; they can still be worn, but the insoles are pretty much non-existent. A solution to that problem was a pair of square-toe Havaianas; these contrast ones from Zara, along with these white leather slingback flats and the Jenni Kayne sandals as seen above.

However, I am a firm believer that spring can be the perfect time to fine-tune habits, revisit the goals you set out along with a really great spring wardrobe refresh. The last one I’m just justifying my case of the shoppies.

Instead of trying to make up for February and March, I’m just going to start back with the curriculum for April. I am going to try to finish Bunny though, but if you need a refresher, the full list is here:

I’ve also been welcoming the spring by leaving the windows open and picking up fresh flowers from Trader Joe’s. They really do have the best selection.

Some other favorites for this month included Love Story, whether or not it was controversial or not. I long for this sort of immersive 2000s-esque style show. I feel like I’ve watched all the great shows, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Lately, I’ve been reaching for this drugstore foundation over any of my high-end ones, it provides the most beautiful finish and feels like nothing is on, which is exactly what I want during these warmer months. I’ve been really into hydrating mists as of late, this, this and this are always on rotation. This I keep on my nightstand for a refresh and this I keep in my purse. It’s a little nutty, but whatever, your girl has dry skin.

I also picked up this Amy Shehab croc clutch that I’ve been eyeing, took her for a spin a few times and we had the best oysters at Found Oyster.

Monday

I started the week off right with a Pilates session followed by an infrared sauna and cold plunge therapy. I’ve never tried the cold plunge until recently, and it has changed me forever. To start, having a room just to yourself was incredible, as my gym’s sauna isn’t the best. Granted, I only lasted in the cold plunge less than 30 seconds and did two rounds, but the sauna was incredible. I put on my subliminals and disconnected from the world. If I can add this to my routine monthly or even bimonthly—total game changer.

After I picked up a smoothie at Kustom Kreation and had a magnesium salt bath in later on in the evening with a Dr. Jart soothing mask.

Tuesday

I got a haircut and enjoyed some authentic Lebanese food with the family. This was a much needed refresh both physically and for the soul.

Wednesday

I took another Pilates class because I’ve finally found a studio I love to go to! Did some red light therapy and baked an individual-size Sweet Loren’s cookie while rewatching Bridgeton*.

Early in February, I went to an event with Rael x Sweet Loren and had the pleasure of meeting both founders. I have a soft spot for Loren’s backstory as my own mom succumbed to ovarian cancer, but her journey began from beating cancer and wanting to be more intentional in what she put into her body. Opting for less inflammatory ingredients and creating a line of sweets that were both gluten and dairy-free. I was actually so surprised by how good they tasted because when you hear gluten and dairy-free, you automatically think: chalky. I saw them at Whole Foods and grabbed the less-sugar chocolate chunk and the caramel. They come in cookie dough form that can be refrigerated and baked either individually or all at once.

Thursday

I decided to sleep in, be as minimally on my phone as possible, have some saffron ice cream, and burn palo santo.

Friday

I finished off the week with a deep clean and an everything shower, ready to take on the weekend! Also, I finished Bridgerton Season 4, and it was actually better than I thought from my biased opinion from the first episode.

February Favorites

The lip products I’ve loved all month are the Summer Friday’s lip stain, lip liner in toffee, and either the Eadem lip balm or Fara Homidi lip oil. I also had the pleasure of getting the new Sidia scent in PR along with the Maison Margiela Chasing Sunsets; both are absolutely delicious, especially if you love musky scents such as myself. Speaking of musk scents, watching Love Story had me curious about this Egyptian Musk that Carolyn apparently wears. I know it’s not the exact one, but it still smelled absolutely incredible! Honorable mention this Saie brush that I use nearly every day, it’s perfect to blend any liquid makeup.

Other beauty favorites included the Oak Essentials bath set mentioned above, Tower 28 SOS serum, which helped with a weird breakout, and this Color Wow product that helped tame my frizzy hair post-blowout.

I also really enjoyed Wuthering Heights for its cinematic genius and have been loving the 90’s nostalgia from Love Story.

Well, what a month. It’s been hectic and also quite disheartening but the greatest act of resistance is the simple choice of seeking joy even amidst a world that is so hellbent at taking it from you.

Personal Curriculum

In the month of January, my goal was to read one non-fiction book—New Methods for Women and one fiction book—The Woman Destroyed, in addition to listening to one Audio Book—Atomic Habits and watching three films—Roman Holiday, Dior and I and lastly Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

The Woman Destroyed by Simone De Beauvoir was three stories that was centered around three middle aged woman and the sudden loss of passion that comes with aging. I found the first story compelling and really resonated with the character, the second story was a monologue and the last story was written in the form of diary entries. There was agony, sadness and themes surrounding the loss of self. Women were betrayed by husbands, by sons and even I would say themselves. Overall, I rated this as a 3/5 star read.

I’m still reading New Methods for Women and instead decided to read it as “one method” a day, brought on by the fact that I didn’t get a chance to finish it in January because it was quite a hectic month. I found Atomic Habits a quick and easy listen with tangible advise, a great start for the beginning of the year.

For the films, I loved Roman Holiday, I found that Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Pick’s chemistry was authentic, there was great comedic timing and now has become my favorite Audrey Hepburn film. My only regret is taking this long to watch it for the first time. I found Dior and I to be haunting—there was this juxtaposition of snippets between Christian Dior and Raf Simmons. It was also quite emotional but I felt it to be a true testament that one must first believe in himself before anyone else does. While Raf only spend three years at Dior, I think that his debut collection for haute couture was important. Lastly, I watched Portrait for a Lady on Fire which may bring on a complete hot take but I found Marianne’s immediate obsession of Héloïse hard to swallow. It was beautifully shot and I suppose we might ask: what is yearning without obsession?

This month my non-fiction read is Art of Seduction and I am attempting to read two fiction books as well—Wuthering Heights and Cleopatra and Frankenstein. The audio book I have chosen is Hold me Tight by Sue Johnson and the films are Wuthering Heights, In the Mood for Love and Rebecca.

Monthly Favorites

Dedcool’s Mochi Milk Room + Linen Spray, dryer sheets and laundry detergent in Taunt and Melrose Place. If you want your home to smell absolutely delicious, trust me this is the way to go.

This Sezane pillow that completed by bedding in the most perfect way, as well as these Amazon scones that instantly elevated the space.

Other favorites included Prada’s newest launch and this tea pot from H&M home.

Usually January is the slowest month of the year for me but this year (probably because I’m in the process of moving) has quickly shown how quick this fire horse year will be, although technically the official year won’t start until February 17th. I’ve been consumed with all things home but that won’t stop me from pursuing fashion and beauty finds.

Home Finds

H&M Home has done it again, here are some delicious finds that are sure to elevate your home and quickly sell out.

Inspired Fashion

Ralph Lauren debuted the perfect menswear line for Fall 2026 and did something interesting by presenting both Polo with Purple Label on the same runway. I couldn’t help think about a thread’s post I saw earlier in the week about Fashion being boring these days because this debut just proved them wrong.

I loved both labels being being presented on the runway together, it was the perfect way to display the wide audience he serves, it almost felt like a nuisance representation of the man growing through his style from Polo and eventually into the Purple Label.

In other news, we can absolutely confirm that the brooch is here to stay.

In retrospect, D&G showcased fur trim coats and open neck lines, reminiscent of a certain Batman “villain” Bane. When pulled for a quote he merely stated “Oh you think fur trim is your ally? You merely adopted it, I was born into the coat, molded by it.” Classic Bane.

Beauty

Some called it investigative journalism but we may have found and sold out Monica Belluci’s alleged lip liner. Other notable new favorites were Fara Homidi’s lip liner in Faun and Demi, along with the bronzer.

Film, Books and Art

Reading: The Woman Destroyed — I am roughly 60 pages in which is rather slow for me considering I’m trying to read a book per month as per the curriculum but it’s only because I’m moving, ugh.

Films on my radar: Wurthering Heights (2026), Hatman (2025), Avengers: Doomsday (2026), Deep Cuts (Unreleased—in production with Drew Starkey and Cailee Spaeny), Eternity (2025), Marty Supreme (2025), and a new Netflix adaptation of The Age of Innocence (Unreleased—in production with Camila Morrone and Kristine Froseth.

We’ll keep this is a short one but I started on the curriculum (you can see it in the last Sunday Paper) and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed The Woman Destroyed rather quickly. I found the first story rather relatable thus far and while I highlighted a few quotes, this was my favorite “I have discovered the pleasure of having a long past behind me.” Not to give too much away but from what I read so far, the story is a contrast between her husband who has accepted aging as his downfall and a wife who has accepted it as is and even found the pleasure behind it. I found it interesting that this was originally published in 1967 and yet much of the human personal struggle is much of the same, aging and the “loss of beauty” that comes from it. I thought it was quite revolutionary to say that there is a pleasure in having a long past and I agree. I find that with each year that passes, I grow less and less attached to the idea of being my younger self. I wouldn’t want to be my 23 or even 26 year old self again, I’ve done too much work to go back there but much like the quote, I am happy to have the years behind me, the lessons they have taught me and the woman they have pushed me to be.

I’m also reading New Methods for Woman in tandem with The Woman Destroyed, a great pairing if I do say so myself. I also find myself increasingly seen through the introduction provided by Sharmadean Reid and have enjoyed the first chapter so far. With any book such as this, the ideals are usually the same but I still enjoy reading the author’s perspective on them.

I also watched some movies that weren’t part of the curriculum per say but still on my watch list, one of them being Pierrot le Fou. My goal is to watch at least one french film a month this year and this was a good start.

I also watched La Rifa (1991) which was Monica Belluci’s film debut, her first acting debut was actually on a two part episode made for TV film Vita coi figli (1990). While the storyline was rather demeaning, I enjoyed the beauty of seeing Monica Belluci on screen, there is a certain way she carries herself that I find intriguing. It made me wonder though with this being her film debut and her also doing Malena, did she become this poster woman for the idolized beauty that becomes a woman’s true enemy?

Best of 2025

I always love reflecting at the end of year and being shocked by how much has changed even when at times the year felt like a jumbled-up mess of mundane minutes spent. It really puts things into perspective and highlights some sort of change, whether it’s internal or external.

For me, it was most definitely internal. The year of the snake, being what it is, led to a lot of shedding and disposing of what no longer was meant to step forward into the upcoming year with me.

The two biggest lessons I learned where these: Stagnancy does not equal safety, one must evolve to truly live and in order to build discipline one most show up always, even imperfectly. Do not fall into the trap of perfection, as it will lead you nowhere.

The biggest upgrade was discarding/selling old furniture and starting new. The much needed refresh of my apartment felt like a reflection of the growth I had done internally and therefore had outgrown the version of me that lived here before. This also helped declutter my creative mind as well.

My favorite purchases included the gatsby loafers from Tony Bianco which I found myself constantly gravitating towards and another vintage Miu Miu from TRR.

I also really loved styling these Bootbarn boots (gifted) and upon further reflection found that my style had evolved as well.

Quick fire beauty favorites. For lip combos, I kept reaching for M.PH liners in sizzle and skinny dip, Refy blur liner in opal, Merit’s sheer liner’s in bespoke and coupe. Along with my classic favorites CT iconic nude, pillow talk medium and Tower28’s work of art. The blush I gravitated towards the most was Rhode’s sleepy girl (a purchase that has lasted me since it launched). The best skincare purchases were Eadem’s mami wata (see full video on mists here) and I finally caved and picked up a red light mask. I love the ritual of it and I do see a difference in my skin. My favorite new watch has been Palm Royale, the set design and costumes are top tier, while also being a fun/easy watch.

Other highlights included graduating, going to the Nutcracker for the first time since I was four and spending lots of time at home, with friends, family and chef.

The end of the year looms over us as another month passes by with a blink of an eye. I was flipping through the December Vogue issue, which we all quickly realized that the cover was not a practical joke but rather the intricate genius that is Annie Leibovitz. In the editor’s letter, the explanation was provided that Timothée is “perhaps the biggest movie star on the planet,” and so the cover was shot as a playful reenactment of Interstellar. The actual photograph is not CGI or AI as most predicted but shot in a massive land-art installation called City by Michael Heizer. I am not one to question creative genius, but maybe the world was. In any case, I still prefer a classic Vogue cover and was partial to this image being the cover (also shot by Annie Leibovitz).

This past week I decided to do an impromptu Pamela Anderson marathon which consisted of watching The Last Showgirl, Pam & Tommy and Pamela, a Love Story. I loved The Last Showgirl, her performance was raw and honest and I honestly recommend everyone to watch it. Pam & Tommy felt like camp but I watched it anyway, it was mostly about how to the tape was stolen. Pamela, a Love Story was a short introduction to Pamela, the woman. I do want to check out Garden of Eden as well.

I also watched Charades for the first time and I was more into the wardrobe than the plot line, every single look was incredible and worth recreating this winter.

October was full of sweet moments and that includes dessert. I love October because it feels so nostalgic, maybe it’s because of my birthday but there’s also the true start of fall and Halloween. It’s an incredibly cozy month and the beginning of my favorite season. As we conclude October, I’m excited to step into November and really lean into that slow coziness of Fall.

Something I’m excited for in particular is decorating, I don’t want to do too much but keep it festive yet chic. Here’s what’s coming in the mail to get me in the holiday spirt.

Currently on the Book Shelf

I know that I have a set of books already on my never-ending TBR side-eying me, along with my Kindle filled to the brim, but there are certain books you want the physical copies of for your personal library. I have already dived into It Girl and New Methods for Women and I’m really excited to start Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster and The Beautiful Fall. The recent wave of fashion debuts has inspired my need to read and learn more deeply about the industry. There is so much history in the fashion world. I think as women, we should constantly and deliberately be educating ourselves, especially on topics that we are passionate about. It doesn’t even have to come from a pretentious place but rather as a rebellion. As the world may seem to get stupider, we can choose wisdom. I think that whatever you are passionate about, let it engulf you in its flames.

I think it’s important to find moments to savor and romanticize one’s life especially during seasons where it’s time to slow down and be intentional. I write this as Meet Joe Black plays in the background and he (death) requests cookies, milk and tea during a business meeting. It’s interesting for a character who’s currency is time, spends the moment savoring the sweetness of the delicious cookies. It’s the perfect segue for us to discuss some ways I think you can slow down and romantize Fall.

1. While we often associate Farmer’s Markets with summer, I prefer the ritual of spending crisp mornings choosing fresh produce and bread for the week ahead. My suggestion would be to go for a hike, then treat yourself to a delicious coffee while browsing your local farmer’s market.

   My favorites in my city are South Pasadena, which is actually Thursday nights (4-8 p.m.), and La Cañada Flintridge, which is Saturday mornings.

2. Music is the best way to romanticize fall, I have a Hot Girl Fall playlist but you could also just listen to slow jazz or Norah Jones as you cook, clean, work, what have you.

3. Go for a seasonal walk. The sun starts to set sooner and the leaves start to fall, it’s the perfect way for you wind down. Podcast or Playlist, with a friend or alone. Nothing beats a few minutes outside. Bonus: Take your favorite warm beverage with you.

4. Bake a fall treat but turn it into a theme. Bake something from your favorite fall movie, dress like your favorite character, light a candle that smells like the scene, have snacks and a drink that the characters will be having.

5. Speaking of cozy fall films, might I suggest a revisit, even a binge of your favorite fall films. Whether the theme be cozy spooky or a Meg Ryan cinematic journey. My favorites include: When Harry Met Sally, Practical Magic, The Addams Family, Mystic Pizza, Good Will Hunting, Little Women, Dead Poets Society and of course The Twilight Saga.

   I’m opting for a Julie Robert’s watch starting with Mystic Pizza, then Step Mom, Notting Hill and ending it with Mona Lisa Smile. Might not be done in a one day but it’s differently on the list to rewatch.

   Bonus tip: Grab a blanket and watch it outdoors, there’s so many options in Los Angeles, whether you prefer the Hollywood Cemetery, Melrose Rooftop Theatre or your very own backyard!

6. Take yourself on a cozy fall date. Visit your local bookstore or library, browse for a while, grab a book that intrigues you. Then find a coffee shop that you love or have been wanting to try out. Once there, order a delicious coffee and find

   yourself a spot, read for a bit. Then take out your journal and notice the world

   around you, write what you observe, doesn’t have to be anything fancy just your

   observation of the day.

7. Candles and no over head lights. Nothing makes your home feel cozier than lighting all of your favorite candles and using warm lamps rather than the stark white ceiling light. It’s actually a rule I follow all year round. I hate overhead lighting.

   

8. If you live in SoCal or anywhere that doesn’t really feel like “fall” right away, take a trip up north or even as close as Ojai. A road trip is the best way to romantize the season.

9. Switch up your daily routines. Opt for warmer scents for your signature perfume, change up your makeup, pick out your favorite clothing pieces for fall. Create a delicious body care routine to keep your skin soft and supple even in the dry and cold. Or even pick up a new hobby.

10. Do all of the gimmicky, cliche fall bucket items your little heart desires. Pumpkin patches, apple picking, fall festivals, haunted houses, hayrides, etc. You live only once, if you enjoy it, I say go for it.

Whatever you decide to do, take this season as an invitation to slow down, layer up and let life unfold as it may.

Summer Fridays Blush - a gorgeous shade for Fall. Blends beautifully. (Color - Dusty Rose)

Merit Flush Balm - a deep burgundy cherry that sadly the brand has since discontinued. A good option could be Glossier’s Storm.

Merit Lip Liner - I love these sheer like liners that are blendable and easy to use. My go to the past week has been in the color Archival.

Mph Liner - Have been reaching for Skinny Dip more and more, the perfect pinky nude.

Refy Gloss - I am just mad that I didn’t start using these earlier, they are truly the best glosses I have tried in some time. Keep reaching for Oat and Blush.

Sadly, I’m not at Milan Fashion week. “One day” I whisper to myself solemnly, I’ll be in the midst of the chaos and energy.

Apparently as D&G hit snooze for Spring 2026, there was an epic moment in which Meryl Streep a la Miranda Priestly walked in and greeted Anna Wintour amongst the flash of lights.

I can’t get over the pink fur, but PJ’s were all the rage on the runway. Another favorite was something I just know Blair Waldorf would be strutting around in her Upper East Side apartment while she plans to take over the world with her beloved Chuck Bass. I’m rewatching again. Spare me.

While D&G hit snooze, Bottega Veneta took flight and every single look was incredible. A perfect debut from Louise Trotter and Rachel Scott.

And the best part of the Ferragamo show were the tassel sleeves.

A brief look into the future of fashion aside, it’s officially Fall and while I work on the Fall Edit (make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss), September felt like a transformative month and in a way always feels like a fresh start.

Here are some things I loved this month:

I binged The Girlfriend on Amazon Prime in one setting. A psychological thriller with Olivia Cooke (Alicent Highttower, House of Dragons) as Cherry, Robin Wright (House of Cards) and a new face to me, Laurie Davidson. A mommy’s boy, an overpowering mother and a girl from “the wrong side” all collided in this gripping miniseries that to this day I’m not sure who is the actual insane one. I am crossing my fingers we get a second season, but if you haven’t watched yet, please do.

The favorite read of the month was a surprising blind pick at the local library (support your libraries!!), In The Family Way by Laney Katz Becker follows a group of woman who live in 1965 American Suburbia and something about it was so cozy. It’s an important book as we now again, in the year of 2025 discuss women and their right to choose what to do with their bodies.

And before we get into more beauty, fashion and home favorites. A moment for the $2 frosted candle holders I thrifted and absolutely adore.

Other home favorites of the month included new candles from Diptyque, Opopanax which feels like a cozy moment within the world of Harry Potter and Lys, a bouquet of fresh lilies without the hassle of cleaning up the fallen pistils. And this green Vase from H&M.

This was a great month for lip combos, favorites included: REFY lip gloss in Oat and Blush. As well as the lip blur liner in Opal. After attending the Mary Phillips Makeup launch event, I was gifted their lip liners in Sizzle, Double Shot and Skinny Dip, all of which are incredible. Lastly the Archival Lip Essentials from Merit and the new Gisou lip oils especially in Vanilla Glaze.

Other beauty favorites included the mousse from Chris McMillan and Father Figure by PHLUR.

Sorry for the delay in getting this edition of The Sunday Paper out—I had a few life things to wrap up before I could return and fully commit to weekly postings. I appreciate you sticking around, and now let’s dive into this week’s musings!

Summer may be over in my mind but I’m having a hard time letting go of my favorite flip flops. Luckily, I live in Southern California where the sun beats down our backs even in the middle of October, so you may or may not see these little guys some more.

I will say that this Summer felt like the end of a chapter or even the entire book. It could be why I find myself (yet again), romanticizing the start of Fall and all that it could bring. Quickly though:

Fall = A Fresh Start. That’s always how I looked at it. It could be that my birthday lands in October and with a fresh “new” age comes new perspectives, life updates and new beginnings.

This summer, I graduated (wow), started Invisalign, had countless dates with the girls and Chef (my boyfriend), angrily watched The Summer I Turned Pretty and finished the shit show Love Island USA season 7 and started to go on walks again.

My most worn items were Gap’s Linen Dress (bottom right), Lee’s Loose Straight Leg Denim in White (top middle) and my flip flops (of course).

This summer, I had the chance to discover a few new favorite restaurants, including:

Barr Seco - had a night cap here with orange wine and AWAN vanilla ice cream. Incredible pairing, absolute perfection. Need to go back and try the food.

Zizou - a marvelous fusion of Moroccan and French flavors, the food along with the vibes are impeccable. Tried the short rib (which melts in your mouth), steak frites, spinach puff pastry and a hugo spritz of course.

Bar Siesta - went here with the fam and chef, lots of tapas to share and great vermouth cocktails. Love having a bit of Spain right here in the heart of Los Angeles.

Carmel Restaurant - Went here after the Together premier and it was exactly what we needed for small bites. Loved the kampachi crudo and smoked eggplant, you have to get “the bread” as well.

I’ve never been the type to overhaul my entire wardrobe with the start of every new season because most of pieces transition pretty seamlessly year-round. BUT I love shopping, fashion and adding intentional pieces to my wardrobe. Here’s what I’ve added to the Fall lineup (so far):

Mango Maxi Leather Jacket

Everyone seems to be obsessed with this Zara Suede Jacket but I was scrolling on the Mango website during the Labor Day sale and gasped when I saw this dark chocolate leather jacket. It’s something I’ve been wanting in my wardrobe for some time and I can see it becoming a staple this Fall/Autumn.

Mango Oversized Striped Sweater

I love this color combo for Fall and have been really into stripes lately, had to pick it up.

Sezane Bilma Button Up

I have a white button up but it serves a different purpose, it was great for summer, flowy and little see through but this Bilma button up is exactly what my Fall wardrobe needed. A structured white button up with some character and I can’t get enough of those wide cuffs.

Sezane Jude Cardigan

Sezane is known for it’s quality knits and I have never not loved a knit from them. This chestnut brown one was the perfect cozy addition.

Shoes

Updated my shoe rotation with the Zara lace up ballet flats, Adidas Tokyo Sneakers and the Sperry x Aritzia boat shoe collab (gifted). All of which I’ve already started to incorporate into my everyday style and excited to continue to do so this season.

Graduation Gift

I could have done a bigger gift I suppose but in the meantime I thought I’d treat myself to some Heaven Mayhem eyewear and earrings. I picked up the Vesper Glasses and Archer Gold Earrings.

Thrifted Finds

If you read my “What’s In My Cart(ed)” post then you might have seen my inclination to add two two new blazers into my wardrobe, one an oversized wool blend and the other a black oversized one. Both of which I was able to snag at the thrift + some incredible knits. You can watch the full thrift haul here.

Last night I binged the entire Sirens series. It was the perfect watch for a night in with a glass of rosè. Which is exactly what I did. I ordered a poke bowl from my favorite spot, poured myself a glass and entered the world of Port Haven. hey hey. (You’ll get that if you watched the show).

I was intrigued by the casting, with the main leads being Julian Moore, Meghann Fahy and our little dragon bae Milly Alcock. I have a hard time describing the show without giving too much away but it reminds me of both White Lotus and Nine Perfect Strangers.

If you’re into that vibe, you’d like this. Essentially it follows two sisters, one (Milly Alcock) is living in Port Haven as the assistant to billionaire wife and wildlife preservist (Julian Moore) and the other is in Buffalo, New York taking care of their father who has dementia. Devon (aka Meghann Fahy) sets out by way of ferry to get her sister’s help and finds her in a Stepford Wife-esque “cult” or so she calls it. The story, along with the characters develops from shallow to profound. A very transportive watch, highly recommend.

These Marc Nolan pony hair loafer mules, Guess mayan rhinestone thong kitten heel (!!!!! obsessed with this one for the summer) and lastly finally was able to grab Le—Febour bag I’ve been eyeing for months, waiting patiently (not really) for a restock.

May Favorites:

Vanilla Woods by The 7 Virtues — really loved wearing this all month, a warm and yummy scent. It pairs well with a lot, which is what I’ve been doing as well.

Ripple+ Orange Blossom Incense — acts as a decorative piece and has a lovely scent, love lighting this in the morning.

Vintage Versace Glasses — there are so many variations and options on eBay, I love a big face framing sunnie for the summer. I loved the yellow tint of the one I picked up as well, excited to wear/style it more this summer.

We’re entering a maximalist season—people are craving visual stimulation. It’s not just about looking “clean” anymore. It’s about joy. Movement. Texture. Nostalgia.

Sequins, Scarves and Pucci Prints

The girls are bored of sleek minimalism, or maybe it’s just me. I’m calling it now: Summer 2025 is about to be loud. Besides the sequins and beading we’ll be seeing, I think that Jimmy Choo Archive is a great indication of where fashion is heading this Summer and even trickling into this Fall. As my mother always said, Fashion recycles.

In addition to sequins and beading, Head scarves are having their moment. We saw the popularity start to bubble up in early spring, but I’m predicting a full-on takeover this summer. Expect to see scarves not just as accessories but as focal points.

Lastly, the revival of Pucci whether it’s actual vintage Pucci or “Pucci-adjacent” prints on newer pieces. A wave of bold, swirling, psychedelic patterns that you might wear to a rooftop disco in the 1970’s.

I have been rewatching Sex and The City (as one does) and deep into season 6, I revisited Carrie Bradshaw’s many love interests. There were only a few that were memorable enough to rate so here’s my professional and very unbiased opinion on the Top 3 best people she dated.

*Note: I am not a professional and this is definitely biased.

No 3 - Jake aka Bradley Cooper

A blink and you’ll miss it moment, but nonetheless from all of the short lived relationships, Jake was the best one. Jake was hot, charming, and played by Bradley Cooper. That’s it. That’s the criteria. Sometimes that’s enough.

No 2 - Aleksandr Petrovsky

The man gifted her Oscar de la Renta from the magazine she was gushing over.
He was an acclaimed artist, took her to the opera, whisked her away to gallery openings, and basically embodied the fantasy. Carrie, of course, found him too romantic — too showy. Meanwhile, Mr. Big gave her a single olive off his plate and she acted like he proposed with a Harry Winston.

Petrovsky gave her culture, travel, and perspective. Would she have been happy with him forever? Probably not.But here’s my hot take: Carrie never really wanted a lasting relationship. She ended up with Mr. Big because he was just as emotionally unavailable as she was. (Yes, I said it.)

No 1 - Aiden Shaw

The perfect man and we all know it. The one that got away and maybe should have stayed away. Aidan was patient, grounded, rugged, and somehow still artsy. He built furniture for crying out loud. He was the definition of stability and sweetness, which Carrie famously ran from.

I haven’t watched And Just Like That yet, I’m still bitter about Samantha not being there —but I hear they are back together. This pisses me off because why should she get him just like that, after all after all the bullshit she put him through?

Between sparkly shoes, chaotic prints, and revisiting late-'90s boyfriends, I think we’re about to enter one of the most fun, flirty fashion eras yet.

The Met Gala took place this past Monday, and before diving into my personal highlights and letdowns, I felt it was essential to reflect on the theme. This year’s event—“Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” felt like reverence, like a love letter to the way Black culture has shaped the very bones of fashion, often without credit, but never without influence.

Throughout history, the dandy has reclaimed and reimagined what was designed to erase through colonialism, slavery, and Eurocentric ideals, transforming it into elegance, flair, and what can only be described as spiritual tailoring. It’s bold. It’s a radiant expression of self-worth so powerful it teeters on defiance.

Some embodied the theme with clarity and care, while others appeared to miss the mark entirely. I was reminded of how often Black style has served as armor, protest, and celebration all at once. This year’s Gala felt like an altar to that legacy—tailored, intentional, restorative, and luminous.

The Yes’s (in my opinion):

My favorite look of the night was Stormzy’s. He wore a Haider Ackermann x Tom Ford ensemble, and it was such a simple yet powerful way to tap into the theme. It highlighted that Black tailoring, that Black excellence in a simple yet exquisite way.

Some of my other favorites included Madonna, Doechii, Pharrell, Laura Harrier, and Lauryn Hill. Each brought their own energy and interpretation to the theme, and I loved the way they showed up— distinct, stylish, and memorable.

The Yawn’s (in my opinion):

Wintour, what a disappointment.

As a fan of the black blazer myself I find it hard for me to say this but girl let this look go, I’ve seen her wear this exact look a million times.

I’ve loved Emma’s Met Gala in the past, this looked lazy and lacked any substance.

Copy and paste. Yawn.

April was a weird and busy month, so here’s a rapid-fire recap: I binged When Life Gives You Tangerines—loved it, cried, obsessed. I decided to get Invisalign (still unsure how I feel about that). I prepped for my May graduation and had a full-blown panic attack about about my thirties and the trajectory of my life.

I loved wearing polka dots, the Hera Lip Balm, and this article I couldn’t stop thinking about.

I start this week’s newsletter after spending my Saturday leisurely reading and sipping on coffee, which is the ideal way to spend one’s weekend if you ask me. Try it out with me this Sunday.

Lately, I’ve been trying to find little ways to add joy to everyday moments. For me, that joy often arrives through music. I’ve been thinking a lot about how we, as human beings, have forgotten how to have fun. That’s the tragedy of our modern society. We’re so consumed with self-image and the “mystery” of it all that we forget to actually enjoy the experience.

Which brings me to what I read today.

I started off looking for The Alchemist in the top cabinet of my apartment—a hodgepodge of forgotten books, tangled holiday decorations, and a dusty iron. I’ve been feeling the itch to read it again and I often follow signs like that. In my attempt to reach for it, I also grabbed The Book of Secrets by Deepka Chopra. Incidentally, I flipped to page 89: “Letting Go — How to Choose Without Getting Trapped.

Now I am someone who loves to believe in the endless synchronicities and serendipity of life, but you may be a cynic and think I’m making this up. With love and light in my heart I want to tell you: I don’t really care if you believe me or not.

I read the next 10 pages without the chore of completion but rather the enjoyment of knowledge, the serendipity of lessons and enjoying the moment.

This is what is listed at the beginning of the section:

• Make the most of every experience .

• Don’t obsess over right and wrong decisions.

• Stop defending your self-image.

• Go beyond risks.

• Make no decision when in doubt.

• See the possibilities in whatever happens.

• Feel the stream of joy.

He writes “We are all in the habit of looking like consumers at people, jobs, and cars, wanting best value for the money.” This particular sentence gave me pause as I digested what was just said and truth will usually do that to you. He later writes “in reality we are meant to be free and expansive in our awareness” and “instead of looking for sensory overload that lasts forever, you’ll find that the experiences need to be engaged at the level of meaning and emotion.”

After, I read a beautiful piece in Skin Deep called “Home Movie,” where Zena Agha interviews Lina Soualem about her documentary Bye Bye Tiberias. In one part, Soualem reflects on a scene with her grandmother and mother in central Tiberias, saying:

“I felt I had to inscribe the women in these places so that they can keep on belonging when they can’t live there anymore.”

She also quotes Adrienne Maree Brown: “Radical imagination is a tool for decolonization.”
Soualem adds: “I wanted them to live in their imagination, but while we are imagining, we are brought back to reality by soldiers and military structures.”

In a way, both readings felt coincidentally connected. It was interesting that I started my day looking for The Alchemist — a story in which the protagonist sets out on a journey seeking treasure but finding something entirely different yet similar at the end.

If you haven’t read The Alchemist, I highly recommend it.

Some things that brought me joy this week:

• Listening to this playlist and dancing around my room, just for the fun of it.

• Coloring

• Watching Hotel Transylvania for the first time.

• Eating a piece of cake.

Now that I write that out, I realize I was giving myself permission to do the things my child self loved. Without judgement and with the safety of allowance to be free and full of joy. I have become the adult that allows my child self to feel safe enough to play.

And I think we, as humans, forget to do that sometimes. I think a lot of the suffering we feel or face could shift, a little, if we gave ourselves permission to play again.

Sometimes you’re in a transitional period of your life and everything feels chaotic and nothing makes sense. I always try to remember that anytime things are falling part they’re also falling into place. And sometimes, there are chapters in your life that are finished but you refuse to turn the page. It is in those moments that you have to sit back and see where you land.

When all else fails, I find inspiration or at the very least endorphins through hours spent scrolling on TRR, eBay or Pinterest. Sometimes on rare occasions, I am rewarded with the perfect vintage find.

I picked up a gorgeous pair of Manolo’s and a Celine Macadam weekender bag (for a trip I don’t have planned but probably manifesting). I also shared some gorgeous finds under $500 that you can see here.

I find that I rarely stray away from my favorite shows or movies and I think it’s mostly because I want to not think or make another decision.

I am once again coming to you about a fashion runway look from 20 years ago. Gisele absolutely ate up the runway but this Valentino collection was everything.

I still find inspiration from recent runway shows and it’s almost always from Zimmerman and Miu Miu. Their recent Fall RTW shows were impeccable, finally fashion feels fun again.

I talked about the Rōz styling oil and milk serum in the last edition of The Sunday Paper and still very much in love with them. I have also been loving the Laura Polka Shampoo + Conditioner, my hair loves the formula but the packaging could use some tweaking. Keep reaching for the Merit lip liners, my favorites are Bespoke and Coupe but they are all stunning. YSL came out with a plumping lip oil gloss that is also incredible (and spicy).

Also wanted to take the time to shoutout Jim Morris Tee’s — I saw a reel and purchased a few items, you can find out more about them on their website but essentially they commission artists and create tee’s/sweaters that help wildlife and I think (especially) in this day and age, we ought to support those trying to do good in this world.

To be completely transparent, this past week has been a tough one mentally—probably because I haven’t moved my body or kept up with the rituals that make me feel my best. When I neglect my routine, I feel it. But instead of dwelling on that, I want to share a small but powerful piece of it with you—a how-to guide for falling back in love with your mornings.

How to Love Your Mornings Again

When life feels heavy, it’s tempting to hit snooze endlessly and escape into dreamland. But let me encourage you to try something different for the next week—then decide which version of your mornings you prefer.

On weekdays, give yourself at least two hours of uninterrupted me time before diving into emails, assignments, and the demands of the day. It might seem indulgent, but I promise, this simple shift can transform not only your mornings but the trajectory of your entire day.

During this time, choose 2-3 things that genuinely fill your cup. Here’s what my routine looks like:

• Wake up with my Hatch alarm—no phone. (Resisting the urge to scroll first thing is a game-changer.)

• Meditate if I can. I always remind myself how much better I feel when I start my day this way. Just 10 minutes makes a difference.

• Make the bed. A small win that instantly creates a sense of order.

• Get dressed and move my body. Even when I don’t want to, I know I’ll be so glad I did.

• Shower and skincare. Taking care of yourself is non-negotiable.

• A nutritious, protein-focused breakfast. Usually something simple like yogurt or boiled eggs.

• Make coffee—slowly. I love using my Moka pot because it forces me to be present in the process.

• Journal. A moment to check in with myself before the day takes over.

It’s not about rigid structure—it’s about creating space for yourself in the morning before the world starts pulling at you. Try it for a week and see how it feels. You just might fall in love with your mornings again.
